ABBOTTABAD: The world’s most wanted man and al-Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden was killed by the US Special Forces in a midnight operation here in the wee hours of Monday, Pakistani officials have confirmed. He carried $50 million head money placed on him by the US State Department.
Sources said six people, including bin Laden, one of his wives and a son, were killed during the 40-minute, well-planned operation conducted by the US commandos on Pakistani soil.
