No new gas connections for six months, heads and boards of directors of all state-owned oil and gas companies removed.

ISLAMABAD: Hours after President Asif Ali Zardari reappointed him adviser to the prime minister on petroleum, newly-elected Senator Asim Hussain was ordered by Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gilani to embark on an ambitious plan to revamp the country’s energy sector.

Storm And Tornadoes Rip Across America 45 Dead

WASHINGTON: At least 45 people were dead after a powerful storm whipped up tornadoes in seven southern US states, media reported Sunday. The tornadoes left a trail of destruction in North Carolina Saturday, leveling homes and businesses and knocking out power, the NBC television network reported.
